A PERFECT HOLIDAY COTTAGE - SHORT STROLL TO HIGH ST AND SACRED SITES

If you want a beautiful four star holiday cottage in Glastonbury, you will find that Avalon Cottage is a charming and very comfortable haven. Built in the fifteenth century and situated in Bove Town, it is conveniently situated just a short stroll from the High Street, Abbey Ruins and Glastonbury Tor. You can be sure of a self catering holiday in a perfectly relaxing environment and we promise that Avalon Cottage will exceed all of your expectations. If you're looking for value for money then you've found it because I think I'm right in saying that we are the only Glastonbury cottage offering three bedrooms and two bathrooms at this price. We have recently had our 2010/2011 visit from the assessor for ‘Quality In Tourism’ and he was very happy to confirm our four star status. He loved it – we could tell! If you are a lone traveller or a party of just two or three people, it may interest you to know that we also offer as a holiday let, our own little getaway - our apartment in Oriel Drive, Glastonbury - for a very reasonable rate. MODERN CONVENIENCES
The cottage is redecorated and refurbished every winter and you will find that all of the fixtures and furnishings are of a high standard and in keeping with Avalon's antique character. Read the visitor's book and you will see that people have commented on the comfy beds, the special atmosphere and the general relaxing cosiness of the cottage. (You can’t beat gas central heating.)
The kitchen is well fitted and equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and electric cooker. The cupboards are stocked with enough china and cookware to cook up a storm – six for Christmas dinner? No problem.
The living room has colour TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The furniture is big and comfortable and there are French windows opening onto the patio.
The elegant dining room enables you to enjoy your meals in a charming antique setting and you can connnect your laptop to the wifi broadband internet connection for free!

THREE BEDROOMS to sleep a miximum of five people and most people appreciate the comfort of the beds.
The master bedroom has a double bed and en suite shower room.
The second bedroom also has a double bed
The third bedroom is a single bed.
There is a family bathroom which has a bath with shower over and w.c.

OUTSIDE
The south facing patio garden is a great place to relax and is furnished with good quality table and chairs for eating out on those balmy summer days. Beside the patio there is private parking for one vehicle but further vehicles can park on the street in front. We are situated at the end of a terrace of four similar homes and behind us there are just three houses so the only people that use the lane beside the cottage are our nice neighbours. It’s a rare treat to be situated so close to the town and yet to still have peace and quiet.

FINALLY
We try to arrange our weekly lets at the cottage to start on a Saturday. Start days at the apartment are totally fexible.
Avalon Cottage has a very special atmosphere, people return to us again and again. There is something happy and calming about the place, everyone feels it and everyone seems to be completely at home there. I have to say that 'Party Animals' wouldn't enjoy the cottage and neither would my neighbours. Nowadays we have people ringing up and saying, ‘My friend/mother/boss stayed at your cottage and they’ve been raving about it ever since and I just have to come and stay there.’ It’s very flattering and very satisfying to know that we provide something which is so greatly appreciated.
